A short note on previous work done for the development and empowerment of adolescents

Goodluck Library Arts and Sports Centre, Chelannur, is an autonomous body and registered under the society act 1860 with register No. 379/87. In 1993, it is affiliated to Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan with the Reg.No.45/93 - 94.


OUR WINGS

1. Kasturba Mahila Sarnajam - Specialy focus on empowerment of women in all fields.
2. Balavedi: A Platform to perform and development for the children.
GOVT. WINGS
(1) According to its best performance, this institution bagged the Youth Development Centre under the ministry of youth affairs Govt. of India. It was the first in Kozhikode District and second in Kerala.
(2) Sakshara Mission - Focus on literacy in associates with Panchayath.
3) Agro Clinic- Special Focus on farmers and Agriculture in associates with Krishi Bhavan.
4) Immunity centere for children and Ankanyadi.(with computer and Resource Centre)-Focus on children and Adolecent girls.

OTHER FACILITIES

(I) Tailoring Classes for women - Since 1 990
(2) Menma Milk Unit - 12 families were benefited by this unit.
(3) Akshaya Vanitha Hotel - Ten women were benefited by this project Started on 2002.
(4). Spoken English Course for students and elders. - Focus on preparing students to face competition.
ADOLECENTS PROGRAMES
(1)Immunity Centere for children continuously conducting the programmes for 
adolecence .It includes councelling, carreer guidance, camps, distribution of 
nutritious food to selected adolescence etc.
(2)5 days camp for students in every year April/May - It covers maths, Science,
 personality developments Tour, Sports and Arts etc.
(3)Exhibition on science - Regularly conducted to provide awareness to students
 about the science.
(4)Students corner - To help students in study. Provides books and study related 
classes,
(5)'Pothuvinjana Sadass' - Arrange for facing competitive examinations. Conducted
 every saturday and sundays.
(6)Spoken English course - 6 months course for students to prepare them to face
 the cut through competition.
